Character list and descriptions:
The Kids:
Issac: Louise’s younger brother, goofy and always trying to encourage his sister to relax and
have fun.
Louise: Issac’s older sister, serious, follows all the rules.
In the Game:
Duke of Swirl: 20’s Gangster vibe with a full candy casino and staff.
Gramma Nutt: Cooking show maven and everyone’s grandma. She is always popping up to
give advice, even when no one wants it!
Bazz: Gramma Nut’s dog. Turns out he is the real chef who prepares her famous cakes for her
cooking show.
King Kandy: King of Candyland who lives in a castle made of sweets. He is missing in most of
the game as the kids are trying to find him.
Princess Lolly: King Kandy’s daughter. A goth girl, who rebels against her candy-coated
legacy. Eventually realizes she can be herself and love where she comes from.
Plumpy: A fuzzy green monster with a heart of gold. His is the least desired space on the
game board, but he helps the kids more than anyone. A hero!
Queen Frostine: A Taylor Swift type who loves all things sparkly and is always trying to turn
things into song lyrics.
Lord Licorice: The villain of the show. He kidnaps King Kandy and tries to conquer Candyland
to rename it Licorice Land.
Fluffy: Lord Licorice’s dog. Surprisingly pink and fluffy considering she belongs to a villain. Has
a huge crush on Gramma Nutt’s dog, Bazz.
Gloppy: Molasses monster who means well but it always slowing people down with his
stickiness!
Jolly: Over the top positive until The Kids tell him that nobody really likes gumdrops, and he
becomes inconsolable.
Ensemble: Chorus members for the different locations on the board. Will dance and sing and
have lines throughout the show.
